Iv Sedation

IV Sedation Dentistry in Gillette

If you're nervous about going to the dentist, you're not alone.  As many as 20% of people in the United States avoid going to the dentist because they're afraid.  As a result, they're missing the much needed preventative maintenance and dental care that can help them avoid costly and painful dental problems in the future.

The Solution : IV Sedation Dentistry (Conscious Sedation)

Instead of avoiding the dentist, you can get the treatment you need and be completely comfortable during your visit.  IV sedation puts you into a state of deep relaxation.  While you aren't fully asleep, you will remain comfortable and won't recall what occurred during your procedure.  Time will appear to pass quickly and your procedure will be completed before you know it.

You'll still receive a local anesthetic at the location in your mouth where the procedure is occurring.  This will serve as pain relief during your visit.

IV Sedation will usually require a period of fasting - no food or liquids prior to your procedure. You'll work with our office beforehand to discuss eating and drinking requirements.   You'll require a ride to and from your treatment as you'll likely be a bit groggy after IV Sedation.

IV Sedation is considered to be safer than other forms of sedation because the dosage can be adjusted as needed during your procedure.

You Can't Get IV Sedation In Most Dental Offices

Big Horn Dental Clinic is the only dental practice in Campbell County offering certified IV Sedation.  Only a very small percentage of dentists nationwide are accredited and able perform this procedure.
